WONDER COURAGE RESPECT SERVICE

10 Dec

The Valedictory was an evening of mixed emotions.

Tears and smiles filled the room as the wonderful Year 7 class of 2020 presented themselves in front of their family, friends and staff for the last time.

The Year 7 Valedictory celebrated the achievements of the students and was a wonderful farewell.

It was an evening full of musical contributions composed and performed by the students themselves. This included the chapel choir singing ‘Choir’ and the final Year 7 Valedictory song, ‘Carry On,’ written by Emma Close.

An immense sense of pride was felt in the room as the students reflected and shared their SPW memories.

Speeches from Isla and James, our two School Captains, captured their year and epitomised the cohort in the way they were humorous, thoughtful and reflective.

‘What SPW Means to Me’ speeches by Flynn and Lily highlighted the friendships they have formed throughout the years, the opportunities they have been afforded and the impact that each year of SPW has had.

It was a very moving evening showcasing the treasured memories which will stay with the students and staff. The evening concluded with the presentation of the graduands.

Following this, delicious cakes and treats were enjoyed in the Plaza, where there were photographs, smiles, tears and hugs in abundance.

What an incredible year! Well done and thank you Year 7 students.
