St Peter’s Woodlands Professional Development presents Lorraine Hammond
We are very excited to offer educators the opportunity to engage with Associate Professor Lorraine Hammond AM, outstanding advocate of Explicit Instruction, as she helps educators understand the key to designing and delivering this efficient and effective instructional strategy.
This session will provide a theoretical overview of the Explicit Instruction model, research supporting it and an examination of the practical components of Daily Review, Lesson Design and Lesson Delivery.
About Lorraine Hammond
Dr Lorraine Hammond AM is an Associate Professor from Edith Cowan University and the President of Learning Difficulties Australia.
She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate classes in high impact instruction and learning difficulties, including dyslexia. She is currently conducting research in primary and secondary schools on Explicit Instruction; she regularly coaches teachers.
Lorraine is the Chair, Deputy Chair and Board Member at three high performing Independent Public Schools in Perth and the professional development Consultant for the Kimberley Schools Project.
In 2019, her services to Higher Education and the Community were acknowledged with an Order of Australia.
